Home Show Season: Connecting with HVAC Experts in Southwest Montana

contractor-and-homeowner-shaking-hands

Spring in Southwest Montana heralds the much-anticipated Home Show Season, a time when homeowners and industry professionals converge to explore the latest in home improvement. And Ambient Air Solutions is excited to participate!

At the heart of this season is the Southwest Montana Building Industry Association (SWMBIA), a nonprofit trade organization based in Bozeman since 1979. SWMBIA supports the commercial and residential building industry through advocacy, education, and community engagement, boasting affiliations with the Montana Building Industry Association (MBIA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

This is an image of the owners of ambient air solutions at a tradeshow. The headline reads smart reasons to attend the Home show this season.

Exciting Events

One of SWMBIA’s flagship events is the annual Home Expo, held at Montana State University’s Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. The 2025 expo featured over 200 vendors, including specialists in landscaping, roofing, decking, siding, and notably, HVAC services. These expos offer HVAC contractors a unique platform to showcase their products and services directly to the community. For instance, at Ambient Air Solutions, we have utilized such events to connect with homeowners, offering insights into heating and cooling solutions and even hosting contests to engage attendees.

Benefits to Homeowners

For homeowners, attending these expos provides a valuable opportunity to meet local HVAC professionals face-to-face.Whether you’re considering a new installation, seeking maintenance services, or in need of repairs, the expo allows you to compare offerings, ask questions, and gather information to make informed decisions. It’s also a chance to learn about the latest technologies in energy efficiency and indoor air quality improvements.

Fun and Festivities

Beyond the practical benefits, the Home Expo fosters community spirit. With activities like children’s face painting, live art demonstrations, and raffles supporting local scholarships, the event is both informative and enjoyable for all ages. Entry is accessible, often requiring just a small donation or canned goods for local food banks.

The Home Show Season, spearheaded by SWMBIA, is more than just an exhibition; it’s a community-centric event that bridges the gap between homeowners and industry professionals. Whether you’re embarking on a home improvement project or simply exploring options, attending the Home Expo is a step towards making informed, confident decisions about your HVAC needs.

Why Meeting Your Prospective HVAC Technician Matters

In this day and age, it’s harder for homeowners and potential HVAC customers to have personal relationships with their technicians. Back in the day, someone who would work in your home would be a neighbor as well as a licensed technician. But with some large companies working more anonymously and without that local touch, you can have a very sterile and difficult relationship with your HVAC technician.

These home shows do an excellent job of giving you an opportunity to meet us and get to know us as friends, neighbors, and community members. We hope that seeing us at a local event gives you the trust in us to know that we won’t just do a mediocre job–we’ll go above and beyond to make sure your home is safe, comfortable, and efficient.
